Sign Language Learning Pack

Estimates show that about 1% of the total population is born Deaf and another %-factor will become Deaf later in life. Those who are born Deaf, are the most likely to learn and speak a qualified Signed language. Learning to sign is easier than ever, thanks to the internet. The visual language, designed to aid the deaf or those that have hard to hear, is a set of gesticulations and hand movements that correspond to the spoken word. There are numerous ways to learn American Sign Language (ASL) outside the old classroom method. The most widely used sign language is probably American Sign Language (ASL), which is used is the USA, Canada, parts of Mexico and, with modifications, in quite a few other countries in Central America, Asia and Africa.
How do deaf people learn sign language?
This research shows that deaf and hearing children will learn sign language naturally if their parents and other people around them use the language. They will learn sign language in the same way as other children learn spoken languages like English
Can deaf people hear themselves?
Since some children with profound mixed hearing loss do not learn to speak ( as they cannot hear speech), they cannot hear themselves. ... So- ..No deaf people can not hear themselves because they are unable to hear anything they are near. They can not hear their own voice.
